When I decided to document my portfolio in this blog, the idea was to mirror the performance and current holdings from the spreadsheet I am using to track these measures. The mirroring was set up using the publishing feature within google spreadsheet, enabling almost real time performance and return data.
Unfortunately the publishing function does not work reliably, data is too often corrupt or not retrieved at all. The reason might very well by my own lack of skill, setting this up.
Anyhow, I don't want to spend my time with technical troubleshooting. Therefore I have decided to use snapshots instead. When I have changed my holdings, or at least weekly, I will republish a snapshot of performance and holdings as is.
